An elegant garden armchair with the circular motif in the back panel. Looks good as a
garden chair on its own or grouped with other seats from the Leagrave collection. It is
also a good carver style arch chair for outsider dining.
With regards to the design, the Leagrave design shown in J P Whites catalogue was a
heavy design with thick legs and a deep straight front rail to the seat. I have taken
my Leagrave seat design from an 18th Century painting which show a much more elegant
seat with tapered legs and arm supports and finer construction. The result is a
delightful collection of chairs and garden seats with the grace of the original seat
featured in the painting.
