Sissinghurst Sunset Seat is a copy of an original from the rose garden at Sissinghurst castle. When I made some
replacements seats for the National Trust at Sissinghurst Castle, I slightly modified our original jigs used to
produce this seat and now use jigs which have been taken directly off the original seats at Sissinghurst. The profile
and design are the same but the thickness of the top back rail has been increased, the original seats having a rather
flimsy and weak rail which had twisted in one of the originals and bowed in the other. Profiles of some of the seat
rails have been slightly changes to provide a slope for rain water to drain more efficiently. The Sissinghurst Sunset
Seat is a stronger and more robust garden seat without changing its look.
