The two seater Edwardian garden bench has a gracefully curving back rail supported on a high slatted back and featuring
back legs with classic 'flame' finials. The two seater is an intimate seat and looks good on a small terrace or even as
a hall seat inside.
The classic Edwardian design was developed from 'Pyghtle A Design' originally made by White's of Bedford. I renamed my
design the 'Edwardian' after the classic Edwardian period of gardening. An original example of this seat is shown in
Gertrude Jekyll's book on Garden Ornament and Country Houses. Andrew Crace gracefully interpreted the original drawing
of the design in the book to an elegant piece of furniture with a strong emphasis on the strength of the construction
and the classic design.
